How this site handles your information

What this website does
Mobile Mechanic in York exists to put drivers across York and the wider YO postcode area in touch with mobile mechanic services. Fill in the form or ring the number shown, and what you provide is used to weigh up the job and, where a suitable mechanic is on hand, hand the enquiry over for follow-up.
What details are collected
A completed form may capture your name, phone number, email address, car details, postcode or location, how urgent it is, and any notes you add about the fault. Where you phone instead, call information such as the number you rang from, the number dialled, the time, the call status, and voicemail recording details may be processed too.
What your enquiry is used for
The purpose is simply to make sense of the fault and get back to you about it. From there, your details may be passed to a local mobile mechanic in a position to respond. They are never sold on as general marketing data.
Phone calls and messages
An automated voicemail flow may pick up your call. Any voicemail you leave, plus the surrounding call information, might then be forwarded by email — first to the site owner, and then on to a mechanic already covering your area so they can take it from there.
Who helps run this site
Hosting is provided by Vercel. Notification emails from the form and from calls go out through Resend. Calls and voicemail run through Twilio. None of the API keys or secrets behind those services are held in the public site.
Accessing or removing your details
